Nursing Program

Adventist College of Nursing offers two programs. The Three-Year Diploma in Nursing (A1770) and Two-Year Assistant Nurse Program (A1540). Both programs are accredited by MQA the Ministry of Education and the Board of Nursing Malaysia.

Three-Year Diploma of Nursing

The Three-Year(3) Diploma in Nursing Commences in July each year. The course complies with the requirements of the Malaysian Nursing Board. The students are educated in a wide range of subjects including Health Sciences, Behavioral and Social Sciences, Nursing Sciences and Practices, Professional Management, Research, and Religion.

Assistant Nurse Program

This is a two-year(2) course for those who intend to work in the hospital to serve the sick and needy. It commences in January each year. The students are educated in a wide range of subjects in compliance with the Malaysian Nursing Board.

There is a combination of theory and practice throughout both curricula. In the classroom students will learn theory and skills needed to care for patients. Students will then practice the learned skills before attending to patients in the clinical area. At the end of the successful completion of either program students will be qualified to sit for the Board of Nursing Malaysia licensure examination.

Entry Requirements

Diploma in Nursing Program

• Female or male
• 18 years and older
• Academic qualification – minimum five(5) credits in SPM (Bahasa Malaysia, English, Mathematics, Science and one other subject, including a pass in oral Bahasa Malaysia and oral English)
• Physically and mentally healthy
• Interest in health care

• Female or Male
• 18 years and older
• Possess SPM certificate with at least two (2)credits (Preferably a pass in SPM Mathematics)
• Physically and mentally healthy
• Interest in health care

3. A passport size photograph
4. A self-addressed stamped (50 cents stamp) envelope (9” X 4”)
5. Certified copy of Form 5/6 school-leaving certificate
6. Certified copy of SPM / STPM Certificate or Result slip
7. Certified copies of SPM Oral Malay and Oral English certificates
8. Certified copy of Form 5/6 School Testimonial Certificate
9. Certifies copy of Baptism Certificate (for SDA only)
10. Processing Fee: RM10 (not refundable)
    You may pay by Cash or Cheque/Bank Draft/Banker's Cheque to "ADVENTIST HOSPITAL & CLINIC SERVICES (M)". Your application will only be process upon payment of the processing fee.

Your letter of application must be in your own handwriting with your address and contact number clearly written and must reach the following address by 28th March for Diploma and 30th September for AN of the recruiting year.
