The Wishing Well Project
Imported directly from the United States of America, the wishing
wells range from miniature-size to three-feet in diameter. The wells are the
first of its kind in Malaysia and have been donated by Southern Bank Berhad, the
first corporate sponsor of The Wishing Well Project, a joint project between
Penang Adventist Hospital and the Rotary Club of Penang District 3300.
Donors will not only be able to make the wish of a child in need
of corrective heart surgery come true, but will have fun in giving. The coins
placed in the launching ramps of the wishing wells will spin around the vortex
and increase in speed until it disappears at the base of the well. With the
increasing speed and the diminishing number of circles the coins make, one knows
that the money will benefit a child in need of corrective heart surgery at
Penang Adventist Hospital.
Funds raised through The Wishing Well Project will go towards the
Gift of Life Penang Programme, a programme that benefits the less fortunate
children in need of corrective heart surgery. The Gift of Life Penang
Programme is a joint project between Penang Adventist Hospitals Heart Patients
Fund and the Rotary Club of Penang.
The Programme has thus far benefited over 80 children from
countries such as Cambodia, Malaysia, Indonesia and Philippines receive the
precious gift of life.
