A Christmas Charity Programme – "The Story of Christmas Retold" was held at the Caring Society Complex for two consecutive nights on the 21st and 22nd of December 2002 at 8:00 pm.

The programme was jointly presented by the Adventist Children's Choir, the Adventist Youth and the Adventist Chinese Church Choir. The three groups joined their hearts, voices and acting skills in a night of laughter and story-telling. The objective was to raise funds for Penang Adventist Hospital's Heart Patients' Fund.

A free-will offering was collected and all monies raised were chanelled towards the Penang Adventist Hospital's Heart Patients' Fund. At the end of the magical evening, a total of RM10,011.33 in cash and pledges was raised after an appeal was made by representatives of the Penang Adventist Hospital Development Department.

Organizer and board member, Lim Mei Huey commented, "It was truly an eventful weekend."

Present also to share her testimony as beneficiary of the Heart Patients' Fund was Tan Guat Siew, who in 1993 underwent surgery at Penang Adventist Hospital through assistance from the Heart Patients' Fund when she was seven years old. She shared with the audience, "I hope that all will give generously to the Heart Patients' Fund."
