A Night Worth to Remember

On 9th of September 2007, music teachers and children as young as four years old gave their best performances and successfully raised over RM 60,000 for charity.

This was the second musical concert held by Penang Adventist Hospital in partnership with Digital Music System and CRESTAR Penang, in aid of needy patients through the Dr J Earl Gardner Fund.

It was truly a night worth to remember as over 100 students and teachers from Digital Music System School of Music and Crestar Penang enchanted the audiences with various music, dances and dramas.

The concert was further inspired with the appearance of the first beneficiary of the Dr J Earl Gardner Fund, Chong Soo How. Chong suffered from prolonged joint inflammation of the hips that caused him unable to bend or sit for ten years before he came across the Dr. J Earl Gardner Fund. He underwent three total hip replacement surgeries, all fully sponsored by the Fund.

That night, Chong showed his appreciation towards PAH by encouraging others to give by donating back to the Dr. J Earl Gardner Fund.

“I have found a job now, thanks to the fund. I want to give back to the Fund to help others like me,” he said, putting money into the appeal box. The audience raised an additional RM7,500 for the Fund from the appeal collections.
