Since its inception more than 79 years ago, Penang Adventist Hospital (PAH) has progressed from a one-man clinic to a medical centre with 40 resident specialists and an equal number of visiting consultants.

Paediatric surgery

A recent addition to the already established cardiac program is paediatric cardiology and paediatric cardio-thoracic surgery.

The vascular program is also a recent addition to the cardiac program. This complementary specialty now makes the hospital one of the first medical centre to offer a comprehensive Heart and Vascular Program.

Retinal surgery was added two years ago, and so were the urology and ear, nose and throat programs and invasive radiology.

Plans are in the offering to develop a neurology and neuro-surgical program in the very near future.
