Snoring
Snoring could cause relationship problems. It causes poor sleep,
daytime sleepiness, depression, headache, poor concentration and
possibly motor vehicle accidents. Extreme cases could cause obstruction
of breathing passage and may precipitate heart and lung problems.

Childhood Deafness and Delayed Speech
A child needs normal hearing to learn speech. Following are some clues that your child may
have hearing problems:

Opening eyes or blinking eyes to sudden sounds such as
handclapping, door slamming, etc. |

Pause and listen to sudden prolonged sounds such as noise of vacuum
cleaner, car engine, etc. |
| 4 mths old |
Quieten or smile to your voice even if he cannot see you. |
| 7 mths old |
Turn head immediately to your voice. |
| 12 mths old |
Show response to own name or other familiar words. |
Sensitive Nose
Estimated 40% of the general population has allergic nose and sinus problems.
Symptoms include sneezing, running nose, blocked nose, itchiness of nose, mouth and ear.
This condition should be treated early as there is a possibility of causing sinus
complication.

Nose Cancer
Nose cancer (nasopharyngeal carcinoma) is very common among Chinese.
Chinese are 50 times likelier to develop this cancer.Common features include neck swelling,
nose bleeding, blocked nose, hearing loss and ringing sound in the ear.

Treatment
- Depending on the cancer staging, surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy could be
offered.
